Doreo Partners: Winner of HBS West Africa New Venture Contest
Doreo Partner’s Babban Gona model won the First Annual Harvard Business School (HBS) Association of Nigeria New Venture Contest (NVC) for the West African Region. The award was jointly hosted by the HBS Association and the HBS Association of South Africa in collaboration with HBS’ Arthur Rock Center for Entrepreneurship, the Social Enterprise Initiative, and Alumni Relations. The NVC competition is designed to encourage HBS alumni to launch promising new businesses and social-impact ventures.
Babban Gona is an innovative agricultural franchise model that provides end to end services to grassroots smallholder farmers by leveraging a sustainable private sector driven approach to transition these farmer from subsistence agriculture to intensive small scale commercial agriculture.
